Myra is a frequent traveler. Her job gives her the luxury to travel across the world. The company she works for has offices in all major cities across the globe. Myra handles the international HR for her company hence the traveling.

While traveling she is mostly busy working on her laptop, checking or preparing documents. The thing which delights her most is reading a novel in the flight with window shades open and a direct view of the clouds. Howsoever occupied she is, but never misses a chance of reading a book while watching the clouds.

It was a usual day for Myra as she was traveling from Mumbai to Dubai for an important meeting. It was a three and half hour flight. Other than going through various documents, and preparing for the meeting, she planned to begin reading her new literary acquisition an age-old classic- “The tale of two cities”. As has always happened the flight took off and she worked for around 45 minutes on her laptop hustling through the important documents of the meeting. She wanted to get over with this as soon as possible.” Come on, when will I open my book” ! was the thought running through Myra’s mind.

Finally, she wrapped up the office responsibilities, packed the bag, and set it aside. Now was the time she always enjoyed most. Came out of the book- “The tale of the two cities”, the window shades were lifted to let the sunlight fall directly on the pages of the book and bring a glow both on her face as well as the book.

She started reading and went on till the announcement was made that the flight was about to land in Dubai. She checked it once at the bottom of the page, she had read 88 pages of the book. But she yearned to read more. This is what a good book does to you. Once you start and develop interest, you become part of the story, and then it becomes difficult to get out of it when you haven’t reached the end. Suddenly Myra realized the flight had landed. People having been confined to their seats were now impatient to get out. Myra too became part of the Leave the flight movement. She caught hold of her bag and became a member of the slowly moving but impatient queue.

Myra got out of the airport called for a cab and started her 30 minutes journey toward her temporary abode. Something happened, Myra screamed and sat with her head bowed, held tightly in her hands. She was disgusted and angry with herself. She had left the book on the flight. Now, what will she do? What will she do in her room tonight? More than anything else there was that undying urge to complete the story and reach an end.

She reached the hotel, checked into her room, and started making preparations to leave for the office as the meeting was scheduled for an hour.

Myra was done for the day; she had completed all her office assignments and it was now time to get back to the hotel, have dinner and then get into bed with the book. She remembered; the book was missing, and the most important piece of this daily puzzle was missing. Myra became impatient, she started looking for the book shops, she found some but could not find the book she was looking for. Dejected she went to the hotel, had dinner, and reluctantly dragged her feet towards the bed.

Suddenly something clicked, Myra seemed to be happy more than that hopeful. She caught hold of her mobile and started looking for an e-book of the tale of two cities. Ecstatic she was as she came across one Ebooks library online with a good collection of textbooks and e-books. She found what she was looking for the ebook of The tale of two cities. She downloaded the app from the link and downloaded to e-book to read it offline — anytime and anywhere. She had a good night’s, sleep happy and contented, having reached the end of the book.

She got up in the morning and had to prepare for her return journey. This time she looked more than normal; she looked happy. This is what a good book can do to you- Cheer you up. Before she started for her return journey, before she sat on the flight, she downloaded another book from newly found treasure online elibray to download and read e-books. This time she downloaded the Science-spiritual book “Bhagwad Gita” from the viewpoint of a scientist. Thus, began her journey not only to the home but also to enlightenment and entertainment through an all-new world of e-books.

Change the way you look at things, life will become a lot easier for you.
